Beep beep! Look at Jack's new Fisher Price car we got at the thrift store! It has all sorts of fun things to push and turn.
Jackson loves to help Mommy vacuum. He happily held onto that tube for ten minutes, crawling after it every time it moved.
Jack's other favorite thing to crawl after - the patient and easygoing cat. He looks like he knows what's about to come, doesn't he? Run, Osiris, run!
We've discovered a park in Warren with many baby swings and a nice view of the water.
Mommy & Jack will be going there a lot this summer!
And when we're not at the park, Jack will be in his new pool! What a cute tushie!
This weekend we visited Mommy's best friend Liz. We had a nice time on Alton Bay watching her sons swim.
Jackson loves Grandma & Pop's new washing machine. It's just like the ones at the laundromat where you can see everything swishing around. Cool! Jack's getting better and better at pulling himself into a standing position. He loves to be on his feet.

Grammie Bonnie! Chris's mom came for a visit this weekend. It was good for Jack to see her! We had a great visit, though you can't tell from the serious faces in this photo - but it was the only one with everyone's eyes open.
Mommy tried to get Jack to pose for a photo for his birthday party invitation, but he was much too interested in the grass he was picking to smile for the camera.
Now there's a happier face! Not sure what's going on with that hair, though.

A few of Jack's favorite things:
Jackson loves any kind of vacuum cleaner. This handvac is just his size. He also loves the red stick you can see him holding. He bangs it on everything.
Jackson loves yard tools, the bigger the better.
Jackson loves goldfish crackers. The key to a successful walk around the neighborhood is to fill his tray with goldfish. He munches away the entire ride, often shoving several crackers in his mouth at once.
Jackson loves yard debris. Yesterday Jack discovered a piece of wood from one of the trees the town just cut down.
He was fascinated by it and spent quite a bit of time inspecting it. Then he had to carry it in his hand, up in the air, as if to say, "Hey, look what I found!" Every time we stopped to look at a tree or a flower, he would touch it with his piece of wood.
Jackson loves Mommy and Mommy loves Jack!

Family Time! Pop's lap is very comfy, especially when Cheerios are in hand (& mouth)!
Making Mother's Day pancakes with Grandma. Jack even tried some after and he liked them very much. Yum!
An interesting visit with Cousin Xandra. They did battle over nearly every toy on the floor. When one had it, the other wanted it.
Such a cutie pie!
And so serious!
Gettin' Around! Jackson is getting to be quite the little mover these days. He's on the verge of full crawling.
The look on his face says, "I see you kitty, and I'm coming to get you!"
He just started getting up on hands and knees. He pushes forward with his knees and lands on his belly, arms stretched forward, reaching for the elusive object, Kitty or Mommy.
Jackson's gotten many fun, new toys lately. Here he's holding himself up at his LeapFrog activity table. He loves pushing the many buttons and hearing all the songs and music.
Jack loves to bang things, so Mommy got him a drum. He took to it immediately.
And Grandma bought him the tractor he coveted. Every time we visit his friend Hunter, he monopolizes this tractor. Now he's got one of his very own! Thanks Grandma!
Waiting for Grandma & Pop the morning of their visit.

10 Months Old Today! And a momentous day, as Jackson nearly started crawling today! He gets up on his hands and knees and then scoots himself forward. Quite the progress after going only backwards for so long.

Bath time! Jackson loves to take a bath!
He recently insists on sitting up in his little baby tub. This makes it slightly harder to wash his hair, as he really does not like getting water in his eyes.
But sitting up allows him to splash his toys in the water. He can chew from any position, however.
Nothing quite as tasty as a clean comb!
"Am I cute or what?"
One last pose before getting out.
A clean monkey, ready to start the day!
New things! Mommy and Jack joined a new playgroup that meets at a really cool playground. Jack tried out a baby-sized swing for the first time. However, as you can see, he was way too distracted by all the interesting (and noisy) kids running around to enjoy his ride.
This week we went to our friends' Roxanne and Jane. Jack played with Jane's sidewalk chalk and had a great time. He mostly wanted to eat the chalk, but also enjoyed dropping them onto the stone patio and breaking them. Sorry Jane!
Today Jack was playing contentedly with his toys when Osiris laid down behind him. Goodbye toys, hello kitty!
Big hug!
And he makes a nice pillow too!
Jack was a real ham for the camera today, giving Mommy lots of smiles...
and funny faces!
"See my block?"
