Beach Bum. Mommy took Jack to the beach today for the very first time. It was in the mid 60's here, sunny and very windy, so Jack had to have sunglasses and a hat.
And of course, the binky.
We've progressed from food all over the highchair to food in the mouth, however swallowing is a whole different issue.
"Look at all my toys!"...and binkies.
"Hooray for me being so damn cute my Mom can't stop taking pictures of me!"

Look at this big boy! Jackson proudly sports his new outfit from our generous friends, the Paradises. How cute are those sneakers?
Jack was in the mood to pose for this photo session with Mommy, sitting up, sitting still and even smiling!

Jack is getting better about spending time on his belly and will turn around 360 degrees to get at different toys. He will even push himself backwards, but is not crawling (forwards or backwards) yet.
In Scituate later that day, contemplating Grampy. Grampy is very good at making strange and silly sounds.
So relaxed in Uncle Luke's arms. We're excited to be going to Maryland to spend Easter with Uncle Luke, Aunt Jane and Jack's cousins Aliza, Kaleb and Izaak. Yipee!
Jack and Cousin Xandra share some toys on the floor in Scituate. Xandra is two months younger than Jack, but you'd never know it. This was a rare, peaceful moment between them, as Jack repeatedly felt compelled to grab onto her and taste her head. Well, everything else goes in the mouth, why not his cousin?
Back home, helping Mommy with the laundry. Nothin' better than warm clothes fresh from the dryer!

Messy Monkey! Mommy thought maybe if Jackson could put the food in his mouth himself, he might actually eat it. She was wrong. Despite the mess on his face, none of it went in his mouth. We may have hit the jackpot with Yobaby Yogurt, though. He's eaten it two whole days in a row!
Jack sat in a restaurant high chair for the first time this weekend! He did pretty well when distracted by toys, but didn't last that long. He'd always rather be in Mommy's arms.
Ah, Grandma.
And Pop too. So nice to be loved!
Here's a very tired looking Mommy with an alert Jack. He hasn't been sleeping very well, but only Mommy looks exhausted. How does that happpen?

8 Months Old! And still this little boy does not want to eat solid foods! Today Mommy tried fresh, mushed avocado - a big no go! So far, the only thing he'll willingly put in his mouth besides Mommy's boob is a Gerber cookie, which has no nutritional value whatsoever. Figures! But it makes him happy, as you can see.
Cookie ends up everywhere. What you can't see is that it's crusted all over his and Mommy's clothes too. For some reason, he likes to rub the cookie on his forehead as well.
Boy, that Go Diego Go! sure is fascinating!
Could Jackson look anymore relaxed in Daddy's lap? This is his typical pose at the end of the day, just before bedtime.
Last week when Grandma visited, she joined Kira and Jack at the Providence Children's Museum. Jack's head might be a little small for this doggie.
Because this photo was taken from across the room, it's quite grainy. But the joy on Jack's face is unmistakable as he takes his first-ever ride on a slide.
Here Grandma tries to show Jack how to sit on a two-wheel bike. He obviously doesn't quite get it, despite watching Daddy on his bike many times.
Still not getting it...
A nice afternoon at a fun Museum. We will have to go back when Jackson's a little older and can enjoy all the activities a bit more.
