Jack's First Thanksgiving! We spent Thanksgiving in Hingham, MA at Auntie Jo's house. Jackson got to visit with Uncle Luke & Aunt Jane, who both loved to hold him and make him smile.
Jack took a special liking to his cousin Aliza. While Kira changed his diaper and Aliza sat beside him, he kept reaching out to her and grabbing her hands.
Grampy loves to hold Jack too and they shared a quiet moment before dinner.

Last night Jackson fell asleep with all his favorite toys, including the giraffe from his new animal train set from Auntie Jane, Uncle Luke, Aliza, Kaleb & Izaak.

So Happy! On Friday Jack and Mommy visted Nanny & Grampy in Scituate. Jack was very happy to be sitting in Nanny's lap and eventually grew so relaxed that he fell asleep in her arms. Notice how his left hand grasps her pinkie finger.
Once he woke up, he spent some time in Grampy's arms, where he received nice hugs and kisses.
Look how strong his neck is getting!
Jack and Mommy took a walk yesterday with eyes fully protected from the sun. We usually walk with the umbrella stroller, but he's been fussy in it this week. So, we tried out the Baby Bjorn and he lasted a half hour. Not bad!

Missing Daddy! While Chris is away for several days on business, Jack and Kira are missing him very much. We videotaped Chris singing silly songs so Jack could watch them while he's away. As you can see in this photo, he stares with rapt attention, alternately looking absorbed and smiling big smiles, especially when Daddy "oink oinks" like a pig.
While Grandma Narlee was here this week, we found a new seat that is just Jack's size - one of his little canvas toy boxes in the livingroom. A perfect fit!
Here he is in his Baby Einstein exersaucer, which he just loves. There are so many toys to look at and many of them make noise and play music.
Here's one of those photos that will embarrass Jack to death someday, but doesn't he look adorable now? He seems to enjoy bathtime and rarely complains about it.

Our Honeybunny! Jack loves to be naked, so when we change his diaper, we let him hang out in the buff for a little while.

While Daddy is in CA on business, Mommy & Jack went to NH to see Grandma & Grandpa.
Jack's favorite toy to chew on this weekend was a brand new toothbrush. He seemed to like those soft bristles against his gums. Might somebody be teething?
Last week Jack took a nap in his real crib for the first time. At night he still sleeps in the porta-crib next to Mommy and takes naps either on Mommy's lap, in his bouncy chair or in the carseat when we're driving. Sleeping in the big crib is an exciting step!

Four Months Old Today! Isn't it amazing to think that Jackson has been in our lives for 4 months? He had his second set of vaccinations this morning and he did very well. He weighs 13 lbs 5 oz and is in the 25th percentile for growth. Dr. DeLuca said Jack looks perfect, but we already knew that!
Grandma and Pop visited this weekend. Jack took a nice nap on Grandma's lap after dinner and then woke up to be amused by Daddy, who is good at making silly faces and interesting sounds.
While Jack sat on Mommy's lap, Daddy was being silly to make Jack laugh again. He now reaches out with both hands to try to grab things - sometimes Daddy's nose or mouth. We have so much fun with him.

What a Face! Jackson has been spending increasing time in his exersaucer. He's beginning to reach out for the attached toys and is especially fascinated with the rattle/globe thing with frogs inside, which you can see in the photo below. The yellow, orange and green buttons under his hand play music when he hits them.

Jackson will be four months on Monday the 6th!
How do you like his leather booties? They were a gift from our friends The Paradises. They keep his feet nice and warm on these chilly days.

Obviously, the Mommy & Me fitness class this morning wore Jack out. He fell asleep on the five minute ride home and stayed asleep for almost two hours. What a treat for Mommy, who was able to do some painting!
We tried out his swing again yesterday. He lasted about 10 minutes and was completely fascinated by the design of the speaker holes where the nursery rhyme songs were playing. That's what he's staring at in the photo below.
Grandma & Grandpa Narlee are coming this weekend! We can't wait!
