Lost in Thought. It may look as if Jackson is staring intently at Mommy while she takes his photo, but in fact, he is in a total daze. When she turned on the band Nuttin' But Stringz, a teenage rap duo who play the violin, Jack's reaction was immediate.
Here he gazes off toward the window, still listening intently. Is it the rap? Is it the violins?
And yet another reaction to the sounds he's hearing. Good thing Mommy bought this CD so he'll be able to listen to it whenever he wants.
When Pop visited last week he and Mommy took Jack to the RISD Art Museum - his first museum trip! He did very well, though he was mostly interested in the other children at the museum rather than in looking at the pretty colors of the artwork. However, he did seem to enjoy looking at the giant wooden Buddha they have on display. Mom and Pop both agreed it was pretty neat!
It must be in the blood - Jackson really likes books, especially the ones that have textures you can touch and feel. He likes to turn the pages a lot. Right now, his favorites are Millie Moo and Ten Little Ladybugs. Mommy went on ebay and bought a big lot of 73 board and cloth books for only $23! It's going to be like Christmas here when that package arrives!

Growing Every Day! It's hard to believe that Jackson turned 7 months this past Tuesday, February 6th. Look how big he is!
On a recent visit from Grandma, we gave him a bath in the sink. He liked playing with his toys, but doesn't sit up well enough to stay up straight. Even being held by Grandma, he still slipped around.
Jack was spoiled by Uncle Mark recently with some new Baby Einstein CDs. He's grasping one while we listen to another. Thanks Uncle Mark!
Mommy found Chicken Dance Elmo at the local thrift store for only $3! We couldn't pass that up.
Mommy, what the heck is this red guy with big eyes all about? Am I supposed to be enjoying this?
Jack sure does love being held by Pop!
All snug and ready for bed!
