He's finally here!Jackson Michael Cortese was born at 3pm on Thursday, July 6, 2006. He weighed 5 pounds 12 ounces and was 19 inches long. Kira's contractions began at 5:30am and she began pushing around 2:30pm - not bad!
Chris and Kira's parents (Barb & Dave) were in the delivery room. Chris actually cut the cord!
July 6 was an important day, as it was Chris and Kira's 4th wedding anniversary, as well as the one-year anniversary of the passing of Kira's grandfather, Howard Narlee. Pretty special.
Kira and Jackson came home on Saturday and have been doing very well. Today was Jack's first pediatrician appointment and he passed with flying colors.
The photos here show Jack in his knit hospital hat; a newly born Jack with Mom and then with Dad; holding onto Mom's fingers on the ride home; and a close-up taken today as he sat in Daddy's arms.We are so happy to have Jack in our lives! We hope you get to meet him soon.

He is adorable...just as we knew he would be. A Cancer boy...just like Kaleb! Good luck with that! LOL! We can't wait to hold him and spoil him and love him to bits!
